RONAN IRISH
Editor
Ronan Irish is an editor of Where is Mr. Adams. He found a passion for editing when he was making random youtube videos, either gaming videos or short skits. Enjoying the rhythm and technical sides to editing is what kept him going and wanting to explore it further. Therefore he decided to attend AFDA. He enjoys the creative process of envisioning an idea from a director or writer, and building it into a narrative that holds relevant emotional weight. The aspect of problem solving to editing is what fascinates him. He loves searching the footage for small movements in a performance that might communicate an emotion, like a slight adjustment of an eyeline. Taking an assembly cut and cutting lines of dialogue that then require meticulous stitching to close the hole so that nobody notices the missing lines. Weaving the story together and writing the final draft of the script with the footage you're given. That's what he loves.
